My name is Joanne, I am mum to four adults and Nan to 9 grandchildren.
I have worked in care for around 25 years, I started off as being a waking night assistant for a respite unit in our local town. I then went on to work for Mencap, supporting older carers and assisting adults with a learning disability to access the community.
After this I started my own business along side my husband Wayne. We offered social and leisure activities to small groups of people to enable them to try different activities and access the local community with all that it had to offer.
Wayne and I have also been shared lives carers for our local authority since 2008.
My main hobby is spending time with my family especially my gorgeous grandchildren.
I am also a bit of a country bumpkin so really like spending time outside in the country or local community.
I love the theatre especially musicals and very much enjoy reading or listening to a good book.
I enjoy a good look around the shops or a garden centre finishing off at a coffee shop.
I'm Wayne, the supportive life and business partner of Jo at In Good Hands. Bringing a dynamic blend of support, fun, and expertise to our team, I'm the backbone of our operations.
My unwavering commitment to Jo's vision, coupled with an infectious sense of fun and wealth of knowledge, I hope to help create a harmonious environment that will elevate the In Good Hands experience for every one of our guests.
My main hobbies are photography, bike riding and building stuff. Jo and I also love films and live music events. We try to see our favourite bands/artists whenever we can. We both love to travel and get away in our camper van when possible.
